This morning I received a thoughtful email from the folks over at Zappos.com. They wanted me to know that the new Converse sneaker styles have arrived! I must have been one of the first people Zappos informed because they got up so early this morning to let me know.
"Hey, there, somepinkflowers, we have something you are not going to want to miss," Zappos yelled miles and miles across The Net.
"We have some more of what you like. Run as fast as you can and get your American Express card. You NEED one in every color, you know you do. Yum, yum, yum!"
I am a big fan of both Zappos and Converse sneakers and have been for years. If you have feet and wear shoes you should pop over to Zappos and check them out. Those people know how to sell shoes. They will sell you shoes you didn't even know you needed.
I just tell the Zappos search engine that I want Converse . My computer screen becomes a visual candy store for my tootsies. My toes start to wiggle with sweet anticipation.
My favorite is the Converse All Star Chuck Taylor low-tops which is a timeless choice. The toes are not pointy so they go waaay beyond comfortable. You can wear them with almost anything. Converse All Stars are everywhere. These shoes are worn by people on The Leno Show and by people on The Oprah Show. These shoes are worn by elementary kids on the playground during recess. These shoes are worn by me most days.
Converse All Stars are your international friend. You are never alone for very long when you wear them. These Converse All Stars are your international friends.
Wear these shoes when you are traveling and you will make friends with people in any airport any where in the world.
You will make people of all ages smile at you. People will be happy just looking at your feet. These shoes may cause people to laugh but they are laughing with you , not at you.
Strangers will want to be your friend. If you get lost or need help with translating your French verbs, people will be more helpful and understanding if you wear Converse All Stars. Trust me. I know. I think it is the happy-clown-feet factor. Or something.
