Quick, quick! Go grab your yellow hoodie!
We are off to the beach...
I have promised an angel wing to this one so do come with me to look.
I will grab the little blue bucket just in case our luck holds true.
Do be careful where you walk.
You best look down Now
to see the closest thing I will see to snow this year.
Sugary beach sand which, when dry, goes crunch crunch under our feet...
Yes.
Do be careful where you walk.
Ghost crabs help keep the beach neat~o and tidy from organic debris of the dead animal kind.
Ghost crabs and my sea gull friends help keep our beach in order.
Can you see the Proud Ladies sitting on the dune?
Some have been holding court right there for my entire life.
Thank goodness!
Even though I do hold some influence with the sea
today there are no angel wings.
Aren't we glad there is always Another Day.
Today we will take home some lovely beach sand
~~a wee bit~~
for One of My Little Art Projects.
Breath deep the salty air!
Let the salty air flow gently but with purpose into your nose
to keep your head clear & your body healthy.
Let the salty air flow smoothly into your heart
so you will come back here
with me.
Now give a wave to the sea. Go ahead. Wave.
Always, always give a wave to the sea
as she will always, always give a wave back to you.

oh, the sea . . . and the beach . . . thank you for sharing. I must get to the beach this week. Lovely reminder. (I did that project from the Ludwig book if you are interested : ) Have a great week!

I wish I could walk the blue pail trail with you!
A day at the beach would be such a treat
then we could stop and I'd read a little from one of the LOVELY books that arrived today. THANK YOU.THANK YOU!
The post about your father below was so touching and warm and lovely.
Saw Susanna on Sunday which was lots of fun.

The sea has the most welcoming waves!! I stay back a bit, though, because I'm a complete clod.
I love that ghost crab photo.

i woke to the birth of a new earth. so unexpectedly white and pure in its blanket of simplicity.
the sandy beach is much like this....a welcome open palm of abandon. a place that records your footsteps until the next snow or set of waves decides to wipe earth's slate clean and offer you purity once more.
can you see me?
i am waving!!!

I wish i were there too!! How I enjoyed this walk on the beach with you, my white did not materialize as it was advertised.
we have these WEATHER ALERTS...it often seems that the more time they spend on graphics for these events the better chance we have of nothing at all happening.
so...off for a walk to grab a chai in the brisk air with your pretty beach fresh in my mind.

Your post is the next best thing to being there. Oh I love the sea and the sand squishing through my toes. I think the ocean is calling me and I must go soon. I am waving from afar!
